BRIDGEPORT, CT – Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County and CEO Carolyn Vermont are excited to the announce that the first-ever Habitat houses in the Town of Fairfield are ready to move in! Join us to celebrate the heart of our mission as two families open the doors to their brand-new, energy-efficient, and affordable homes. You will also have the opportunity to tour two additional Habitat houses currently under construction on the same property at 240-242 Greenfield Street, Fairfield, CT 06825. Parking is available in the nearby, adjacent municipal parking lot.

The Open House will begin at 11:00 a.m. where interested community members can tour a Habitat house and learn more about Habitat CFC as well as opportunities to volunteer and support the organization’s efforts to build more affordable housing in Fairfield County.

Following the Open House, a Dedication Ceremony will begin at 12:00 p.m., where two new homeowners will receive the keys to their homes.

Carolyn Vermont stated, “We look forward to showcasing our first completed homes in the Town of Fairfield. They are the result of a great collaboration between the Town of Fairfield, Habitat staff, volunteers, and donors. We hope to continue creating homeownership opportunities in the Town of Fairfield in partnership with working, low-income families.”

The homes are sponsored by the Elizabeth and Joseph Massoud Family Foundation, The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo.
