New Haven, Conn., August 5, 2026 – As Albertus Magnus College prepares to embark on its second century of excellence, it celebrates another milestone: earning a spot once again on Money’s prestigious Best Colleges in America list for 2026. Money’s evaluation uses an innovative analysis focused on academic quality, affordability, and post-graduate outcomes. Albertus is one of only 13 Connecticut institutions to earn a place on this year’s list.
Instead of using a traditional numeric ranking, Money assigns higher education institutions a star rating, grouping together schools with similar scores based on weighted performance metrics. Money‘s metrics considered more than 2,400 four-year public and private non-profit colleges, narrowing the list to just 735 top-rated institutions that met rigorous baseline enrollment, graduation, and financial standards.

Albertus’ inclusion on Money’s Best Colleges list builds on several other prominent honors received this year. In the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, Albertus Magnus College placed in Regional Universities North and in Top Performers on Social Mobility. The College was also designated as a Military Friendly® School.
