Black women in the U.S. are more than three times more likely than white women to die during childbirth, according to the Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health.
As part of Word In Black’s ongoing reporting on maternal health, health correspondent Jennifer Porter Gore will lead a discussion with medical leaders, advocates, and organizers about how the U.S. can improve these outcomes.
The discussion will explore community models and policies making a difference in Black communities.
