ritish singer-songwriter RAYE (real name Rachel Keen) has cleared the air after sparking dating rumors with actor Michael B. Jordan after their Six Flags Magic Mountain outing last month.
The two were seen enjoying several rides at the Valencia, California, amusement park on August 7.
At the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on September 27, she addressed her outing with him in several red carpet interviews.
During an interview with Extra, the “Escapism” singer dismissed speculation about a romantic relationship, saying, “No, we’re just friends who like roller coasters.”
RAYE, however, also hinted at an upcoming professional collaboration with Jordan.
“I’m technically not allowed to talk about it because I might get in trouble,” she told the outlet.
During another interview with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of the 2026 MTV VMAs, RAYE mentioned that she and Jordan have “been working on some things, which is really nice.”
“I love it,” added the musician, who also confirmed to the outlet that they’re “just lovely friends.”
People reported that Jordan has largely maintained privacy regarding his romantic life. His latest known relationship was with Lori Harvey, the daughter of Steve Harvey, which lasted from 2020 to 2022. A source informed the outlet in June 2022 that they had ended their relationship after dating for a year and a half.
“Michael and Lori are both completely heartbroken,” the source said at the time.
The “Black Panther” actor has previously discussed the challenges of dating publicly, sharing with GQ in 2018 that he finds it hard to truly connect with someone while the internet speculates about his romantic life.
“So now, how do you go anywhere normal, chill, just getting to know somebody that you just met, that you may not—may or may not—hit it off at all? That part of dating is tough,” the Oscar winner said at the time.
“Now, I’m not saying options aren’t there. I’m not saying that,” he added. “But as far as, like, the nuance of dating, it’s just not the same. I’m just going to keep trying to work on myself and build this empire.”
Nevertheless, Page Six reports that Jordan’s visit to the theme park with RAYE comes after a series of notable associations, starting with Kendall Jenner, who he was seen leaving the same Met Gala after-party with in New York City in 2015.
They didn’t reconnect afterward, and Jordan stated they were just friends, but he and Jenner were later seen being friendly at a W Magazine event in January.
He was also later briefly associated with both Kiki Layne and Cindy Bruna after being seen out individually with them, although the rumors from those outings led to no developments.
