Patti LaBelle‘s nephew, Byl Holte, took to social media to claim that the award-winning singer kicked him out of her house because of his support for President Donald Trump.
Per TMZ, Holte also claimed that LaBelle, 82, has since been hostile toward him. In his post, Holte claimed that he was under LaBelle’s roof for 12 years. But the “Godmother of Soul” kicked him out of her house in 2019.
“Here’s what supporting TRUMP cost me,” he shared on X. “My aunt is Patti LaBelle, famous singer AND DEMOCRAT. Christmas 2019, she had just informed me that I had to move out of the home I had happily shared with her for 12 years.”
He also claimed that their family said Trump was a “threat.”
“So when I heard her and my family talking about what a threat Trump was, I asked her ‘why should I be afraid of Trump when you’re the one who just made me homeless?”
Holte then claimed that his aunt’s family “instantly” attacked him and “threw” him “out of her house.”
“And just last year, she had a problem with me talking about my life with her on this platform. My punishment for using my 1st Amendment right this way was LIFETIME BANISHMENT. And as of today, she’s still not speaking to me.”
Holte then claimed that he was withdrawing from politics. But he still condemned Democrats while at it.
