Veteran actress Nia Long has filed for a court-ordered protection from a woman who has allegedly been stalking her and coming to her Los Angeles home.
Per TMZ, Long, 55, is claiming that the alleged stalker, identified as Carrie McDonald, is under the wrong assumption that they are romantically involved. The Boyz n the Hood star is said to have filed for a temporary restraining order against McDonald on Monday.
Long, in the court documents, alleges that McDonald “is a stalker.” She also claims that she has been subject to harassment from McDonald for over two years, though she doesn’t know McDonald. Long further claims that McDonald has come to her house twice and sent her cards, flowers, and gifts she did not desire.
Long alleges that McDonald came to her home on Saturday and pressed her doorbell, adding that the alleged stalker was ultimately arrested by police officers who responded to the scene.
Long also claims that in 2024, McDonald came to her home in the night and asked her to open the door, TMZ reported. She said McDonald received a “strong warning” from officers, and she was arrested when she returned again.
Besides herself, Long also wants the court to grant a court-ordered protection for her two children and mother. A judge, however, did not grant the temporary restraining order until an April hearing.
