Miss North Carolina USA 2026 Brittany Boltinhouse has been stripped of her title after her old social media posts that allegedly contained racist content resurfaced.
Miss USA CEO Thom Brodeur on Wednesday announced that Boltinhouse’s reign had come to an end after a “decision was made together with her, her state directors and in consultation with the Miss USA organization.”
Per The NC Beat, Boltinhouse, 27, won the Miss North Carolina USA 2026 title on June 28, 2026. That was the first time that she partook in the competition, per reports. She was also described as a successful entrepreneur and the first Miss North Carolina USA of Honduran heritage.
But the 27-year-old’s reign came to an abrupt end after the resurfacing of her old social media posts that allegedly showed her repeatedly using the N-word. Boltinhouse is said to have shared the racist posts on X between 2017 and 2019. During that period, she used “Sosa the Stallion” as her handle. Boltinhouse was previously known online as Sosa B Alondra.

A screenshot of Boltinhouse allegedly using the racial slur in some of her posts on X was shared by The NC Beat. In one of her posts, Boltinhouse allegedly used the N-word and described herself as “toxic.”
“The Miss USA organization does not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia nor language that strips any person of their dignity – whoever they are. That is not a policy written for a press release. It is the floor of what it means to represent this brand,” Brodeur said in the statement posted on Instagram.
“A title here isn’t a trinket. It is a position of trust, extended by an organization and accepted by a woman who agrees to carry a standard in public,” the statement added. “When that standard is broken, the title cannot continue as though nothing happened.”
Brodeur also noted that what was brought to their attention was “not a single moment,” as it “reflected a conduct over an extended period of time.”
The Miss USA CEO said that was why “this outcome was reached, and I stand behind it without qualification.” He further noted that “state titleholders are recruited, vetted and approved for competition at the state level. We acted as soon as this reached us.”
Despite stripping Boltinhouse of her crown, Brodeur appeared to suggest that she deserved some grace.
“There is a young woman at the center of this. She has been named, examined, and judged in a way that most of us would not survive, and she is still a human being with a family, a future, and a life ahead of her that is longer than this part of her journey. I will not run an organization that pretends otherwise,” he said.
“I have never believed that accountability requires cruelty, or that holding a line means enjoying the fall of the person who crossed it,” Brodeur continued. “Zero tolerance is a standard for conduct. It is not permission to strip someone of their humanity – which is, after all, precisely the thing we are holding her accountable for doing to others.”
Brodeur also disclosed that he had seen Boltinhouse’s statement in response to the allegations, and “there is ownership, accountability and apology.”
“I respect that while it does not undo the harm, and it does not change the outcome, it is the beginning of the only thing that ever repairs harm, which is change.”
It also appears that Boltinhouse is a Trump supporter, as she took to Facebook in November 2024 to encourage people to vote for him, The NC Beat reported. She also noted at the time that “if you are considering voting for Kamala [Harris], ask yourself what the choice means for our future.”
She added: “It feels as though we are on the brink of chaos and potential collapse. We cannot turn a blind eye to the sacrifices our parents made for a better life, only to see our nation resemble a Third World country.”
Another post also appeared to show her at a Trump rally in 2021.
Brodeur said Myla Hadley has since assumed the Miss North Carolina USA 2026 title with “our full confidence and our support.”
