Black Art In America™ (BAIA) is proud to announce the acquisition of two significant artworks by a Fortune 500 corporation for its permanent corporate fine art collection: Re BORN #17 by Jamele Wright Sr. and Aspirations of Legacy by Najee Dorsey. These additions mark an important milestone in BAIA’s continued engagement with major corporate collectors committed to championing the arts, uplifting African American artists, and recognizing the power of cultural storytelling.
The acquisitions include:
- Re BORN #17 by Jamele Wright Sr. — A dynamic mixed-media textile work exploring memory, migration, and transformation. Wright’s practice draws from African and African American material traditions, connecting personal history to broader cultural narratives.
- Aspirations of Legacy by Najee Dorsey — A photomontage that celebrates Southern heritage and the pursuit of generational legacy. Dorsey is widely recognized for his vibrant and layered visual storytelling.
